Step 1: Create an Irrigation Event

  1. Open the Irrigation Scheduler.

  2. Click Schedule Irrigation.

  3. Set the Event Type to Continuous.

  4. Select the zone you want to irrigate.

  5. Choose the irrigation Start Date and Start Time.

  6. Enter the irrigation Duration.

  7. Click Add Fertigation.

8. Select the fertigation Device.

9. Select the Product you want to apply.

9. Enter the amount of time to wait before fertigation begins.

This delay allows the irrigation system to pressurize before fertilizer is injected.

For example:

  • Irrigation starts at 3:30 PM

  • Fertigation delay is 30 minutes

  • Fertigation starts at 4:00 PM

10. Enter the fertigation Run Duration.

For example, a 2-hour fertigation event that begins at 4:00 PM will end at 6:00 PM.

The scheduler will automatically calculate the Flush Duration, which is the irrigation time remaining after fertigation ends.

Save the Event

11. Click Save and Close.

12. The event will appear as a Scheduled but Unsubmitted event.

Submit the Schedule

13. Click Submit Schedule.

Verify the Scheduled Event

After submission, the event will appear on the schedule timeline.

The yellow section within the irrigation event represents the fertigation application period.

Example

Event

Time

Irrigation Start

3:30 PM

Fertigation Start

4:00 PM

Fertigation End

6:00 PM

Flush Duration

30 minutes

In this example, irrigation runs for 30 minutes before fertigation begins and continues for 30 minutes after fertigation ends to flush the system.

Key Takeaways

  • Fertigation events are added to a scheduled irrigation event.

  • A delay can be added before fertigation starts to allow the system to pressurize.

  • The scheduler automatically calculates the flush duration.

  • The schedule must be submitted before it is sent to the WiseConn hardware.

  • Fertigation events appear as a yellow section within the irrigation event timeline.
