What are the Environment layers?
The Environment layers display weather and climate data for your property. This information helps you monitor current conditions, view forecasts, and make informed irrigation, spray, and field management decisions.
Weather data is sourced from:
Semios in-field weather stations
Nearby Semios weather stations
Third-party weather data (if you have a Remote Weather package)
How to open the Environment layers
Open the Layers menu.
Select Environment to expand the available layers.
Select one or more layers to display on the map.
Change the map display
Depending on the layer selected, you can choose to view:
Current conditions
Forecast conditions
Cumulative values (where available)
To change the display:
Select the Map Controls dropdown.
Choose the available view for the selected layer.
Select Overview, Graphs or Tables to view the layers in more detail.
Available Environment layers
The following weather layers are available:
Temperature
View current or forecast air temperature.
Humidity
View current or forecast relative humidity.
Dew Point
View the temperature at which moisture in the air begins to condense.
Wet Bulb
View the wet bulb temperature, which combines the effects of temperature and humidity.
Wind
View current or forecast wind speed and direction.
Rain
View current rainfall totals, forecasts, or cumulative rainfall where available.
Conditions
View a summary of current weather conditions.
Note: The Conditions layer is only available in the Summary and Details panels.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where does the weather data come from?
Weather data comes from Semios in-field weather stations where available. If your property uses a Remote Weather package, data may be sourced from nearby Semios stations or third-party weather providers.
Why can't I see forecast or cumulative data?
Not every Environment layer supports all viewing options. Available map controls depend on the selected layer.
Why can't I view the Conditions layer on the map?
The Conditions layer is only available in the Summary and Details panels and is not displayed as a map layer.
